James McCaffrey

Mr. McCaffrey has 30+ years of experience in the investment industry. He began his career as quantitative trader, portfolio manager and market maker with Hull Trading Company, as the head trader and portfolio manager in the Paris, FR office where James was the first American to qualify to trade CAC40 index options and futures on the Bourse de Valuers. Following this post, he was Senior Managing Director, Co-Head of European Markets for HTC in London, England.

In Chicago, Mr. McCaffrey was PM for HTC's credit book of 30-year, 10-year and 5-year US Treasury options and futures and the firm's US Index portfolio, its flagship, where he managed a portfolio of US Index options and futures, and single name equity options. Mr. McCaffrey has also built and managed the electronic volatility market making desk for Archelon Trading, LLC.

In 2008 James began a 12-year journey in the wealth management channel, serving as an advisor to institutional and private wealth clients. He served in this capacity at UBS, Morgan Stanley and Perennial Financial Services, an LPL RIA.

Mr. McCaffrey is a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) and holds FINRA Series 7, 66, 3 and 30 licenses. He received an MBA in Finance from Vanderbilt University and a BS in Finance from Providence College. His native language is English and he is fluent in French, with a working and growing knowledge of other languages. He enjoys being active, everything outdoors, sports and the arts.
